A Personal Beginning
Fountain BLU Bioactives began with a deeply personal change in the way I looked at skincare.
In 2018, I experienced a major health scare that caused me to reconsider many of the products I used every day, including what I put on my skin. I began searching for simpler, more naturally derived skincare, but I quickly discovered that even products marketed as “clean” or “natural” often contained long ingredient lists, unnecessary additives, and preservatives I was trying to avoid.
That search led me back to something beautifully simple: oils.
I began experimenting with carefully selected carrier oils and essential oil blends, learning how different oils felt on the skin and how thoughtfully combining them could create something far more special than any one ingredient alone. As my interest in natural formulation grew, I discovered other traditional ingredients, including grass-fed tallow and high-grade Manuka honey, and began exploring how they could complement the oils and botanicals I was already working with.
What started as a personal search for better skincare gradually became a passion for creating it.
Made With Intention
As my formulas evolved, so did my standards. I became increasingly selective about every ingredient I used and where it came from. I sought out pure oils, thoughtfully selected botanicals, high-grade Manuka honey, grass-fed tallow, and other ingredients from suppliers I could trust.
Creating something Canadian has always been important to me. Wherever possible, I seek out quality Canadian ingredients and suppliers, while sourcing exceptional ingredients from elsewhere when they meet the standards I have set for Fountain BLU.
My husband has been beside me throughout this journey. We are partners in life and partners in our skincare journey. Together, we work on our formulations and take part in the mixing, blending, whipping, pouring, and finishing of every batch we create.
Fountain BLU has never been about one ingredient or one type of skincare. It grew from a philosophy: begin with exceptional ingredients, keep the formulation purposeful, and create something we would genuinely want to use ourselves.
Where Nature Meets Peptide Science
The defining next chapter came during a trip to Mexico, where my husband and I met with a physician specializing in rejuvenation and recovery who introduced us to the emerging science of peptides.
I became fascinated by the possibilities of bringing advanced cosmetic peptide science together with the naturally derived ingredients I had already spent years exploring.
That idea changed the direction of everything.
I began envisioning a collection where luxurious face and body oils, botanical blends, tallow-based creams, and other carefully developed formulations could share one defining characteristic: the thoughtful incorporation of cosmetic peptides.
I did not want to choose between the simplicity of naturally derived ingredients and the possibilities of modern cosmetic science. I wanted to bring them together.
And Fountain BLU Bioactives was born.

Today, Fountain BLU Bioactives is a growing collection of peptide-infused skincare, from luxurious face and body oils to rich tallow-based creams and specialized cosmetic formulations.
Every formula begins with one simple question:
Would we be proud to use this ourselves?
From our home base in LaSalle, Ontario, we formulate and handcraft our products in small batches, overseeing the process from ingredient selection and formulation to blending, mixing, whipping, pouring, and labelling.
We source intentionally because quality matters to us. We formulate purposefully because every ingredient should earn its place. And we create each product with the same care and attention that started this journey in the first place.
For me, Fountain BLU is more than a skincare line. It represents the belief that naturally derived ingredients, traditional skincare wisdom, modern formulation, and advanced cosmetic peptide science do not have to exist
separately.
They can become something more when brought together with purpose.
